Day
Camps
Our
camps are a blend of riding lessons and the after school program.
The emphasis is on safe and fun learning. They run Monday through
Friday, 7:30-11:30 a.m. Mornings tend to be cooler in the summer.
We start early because campers help feed the horses. Next we groom
and tack up the horses/ponies. After riding we untack and put the
horses out. After washing up and changing, we have a snack. We may
work on a notebook with a daily theme. Camps are kept small with
four campers, and an assistant is on hand to keep everyone safe.

First
timer camps are for those with little or no riding experience. We
ride one at a time so that those needing assistance are safe and
those with more experience are not bored. We ride English, Western
and bareback. One day is spent on balance lessons and another on
items needed for a first horse. Other topics covered are tack, colors,
parts and breeds.
Other
camps have game themes, crafts, horse show preparation, and trail
riding. These are geared toward beginner and advanced beginner riders.

The
"Try Something New" camp is for the competent rider. We
will travel to other riding stables to ride saddle seat, different
breeds, trails and driving.
Please
contact June for weeks available and get ready to hear about all
the fun stuff we did from your child.
